EXTREMELY RARE & HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE. Black Hundreds - Lincoln Print
a/k/a Shepalyn Monroe. Portrait of Sheppard Fairey.
14.5 x 22inch. (37x56cm).
Produced by legendary artist Fred Hosman
Hand Signed and Numbered Out of Only 75.
This print was released in December 2008 and sold out instantaneously. A play on Warhol, Banksy, and countless other artists, this image cleverly lambasts the imminently blind man-of-the-moment and Barack Obama mega-booster Shepard Fairey.
Hand-pulled onto hand-torn Stonehenge paper, then hand-numbered and hand-signed by the artist, this stunning print was made for the band Black Hundreds’ recent album release party. The album, Grundlebox, is a mash-up of Bruce Springsteen’s classic album Nebraska and the noted Tribe Called Quest album Midnight Marauders. The signature track, "Atlantic City - Oh My God," is reputed to be the ringtone on Barack Obama’s blackberry, making this possibly the most collectible and valuable print in the entire hundreddollarhorse stable. |
